Jeff Flood (1985-2025)
Born and raised in Sandy, Oregon, Jeff Flood was a well-known and respected member of the softball community. He began his USA Softball career in 2016 with the U.S. Men’s Futures Team, where he played for two seasons before moving up to the U.S. Men’s National Team in 2021 for his final year with Team USA.
On the field, Jeff was celebrated for his explosive swing, competitive drive, and the way he lifted up his teammates. Off the diamond, he was most proud of his role as a devoted father. For more than 15 years, he worked as a Research and Development Designer at DeMarini Sports Inc. Outside of his professional career, Jeff devoted countless hours to the youth baseball community, mentoring and inspiring young athletes.
Jeff’s life was tragically cut short in a drunk-driving accident in Sandy, Oregon. The head-on collision left his family, friends, and colleagues heartbroken. His passing is a painful reminder of the devastating impact of drunk driving and the importance of making safe, responsible choices.
